Hospital Policies
True emergency cases or serious medical conditions will have top priority over any other patients. These situations can disrupt our daily schedule and cause delays or change the way we are seeing our clients. We will strive to minimize the impact this will cause to our other patients.
Walk-ins & Appointments
Walk-in Services
Clients may bring their pets in the morning hours from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. During these hours we provide pet care to our patients on a first-come, first-served basis. A sign-in sheet is provided at the front counter.
Appointments
Clients can schedule an appointment for their pets, Monday through Friday in the afternoons beginning at 2:00 PM by calling 937.434.8387 anytime during normal business hours.
If you do not have an appointment and your pet needs immediate care, please call the animal hospital and we will do our best to fit your pet into the schedule that day.
Clients may request a specific doctor; however, if your preferred veterinarian is unavailable we can schedule you to see one of the other veterinarians on staff. Your preferred doctor may be performing surgery, have a full schedule or may not be in that day.
Miami Valley Animal Hospital asks if you have a scheduled appointment, and are unable to come to your appointment, please call a minimum of 24 hours in advance so we can schedule another patient.
We ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment time. We will need you to up-date your records before seeing the doctor.
We will strive to stay on time for your appointment.
Dropping off a pet for Surgery, Boarding, or Grooming?
When you have scheduled surgery, boarding, or grooming, your pet may be dropped off at 8:00 AM. Our staff is available to welcome you and your pets/s early in the morning. You may be asked to complete a:
- Surgical Release Form
- Owner Boarding Release Form
- Grooming Release Form
The forms are available in our office or on our website. If you use the forms on the website, go to www.mvahinc.com and go to forms on the bottom of the homepage, hit forms, choose the form you need, print it out and complete it. Bring it in with you for your appointment.
Managing your pet
We ask that all dogs be on a leash for their protection and security.
We ask that all cats or small animals be in a carrier until the doctor comes into the exam room. Even though they may not like the confinement, it will help to minimize stress for them.
Payment Policy
Miami Valley Animal Hospital requires full payment at the time of your visit. We accept cash, checks, Care Credit and major credit cards: VISA, Master Card, Discover.
