INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (ICU)

Miami Valley Animal Hospital's Intensive Care Unit utilizes new state of the art cages designed to accomodate very small and very large animals.

MVAH Tips Electrical Shock Young animals love to chew when they are teething. Make sure all electrical wires and cords are out of reach from your pet.

The Intensive Care Unit:

  • Is located directly off of the treatment room
  • Has large windows allowing the staff to view and observe patients at all times
  • Has its own seperate area and ventilation unit
  • Is utilized for critical care patients on intravenous medication and fluid therapy
  • For patients recovering from surgical procedures
  • Used with oxygen therapy for pets in respiratory distress.
